I am not a JW but I feel for you, this is not right, I don't know why you were disfellowshipped, but I know that Jesus will forgive you with no problem. The Jehovah's Witnesses that put their faith in the "Almighty Watchtower" and think they are better that Jesus. They need to realize why the "Almighty Watchtower does this. It a control thing, not to keep the congregation clean. It's simply to keep the one they have under their control..
Linedancer: Your are a real piece of work and what you just did "SHUN" is very unchristian. I think you need a real bible study!! That was really low, go ahead and report me, but I am still a better person and so is "Crystal" than you are.
Gone Fishing: You had better take a long look at this story and see what is really happening here. This practice of Disfellowshipping and then shunning is biblically wrong. You honestly tell me that Jesus would approve of this attitude. I know he wouldn't. This form of practice is used by all cults for control of the group. It tears up families and friends and neighbors. Jesus would condom this action and tells you to love your neighbor. Just because someone does not believe as the "Almighty Watchtower" does, which is a whole subject in itself, does not give you the right to Judge people in a way that would be against the teachings of Jesus. I hope that all that practice this type of shunning prays to God and asks for forgiveness and make an apology to this person and to the others that you have wronged and sinned against...
Crystal, my heart goes out to you; I will remember you in my prayers tonight and ask that your sister will see the light and not the darkness that she is seeing now..
Unique: This is what the "Almighty Watchtower" intended the shunning to do is to "FORCE" people back. Is that what God intended his people to do be "FORCED" back into your congregation, or do you believe he still believes in free will?
Chrystal, you tell em, you are better then them, they are the followers of wolves that the bible warns us of. That is the real truth.
Apostasy (IPA: /əˈpɒstəsi/) is the formal abandonment or renunciation of one's religion, a complete abandonment.
Therfore, if one is disfellowshipped but still retains his/her religion they are not apostates and therefore should not be shunned. A Christian is not to shun another Christian. If you are disfellowshipped and completely renounce or abandond the Christian faith, then you would be an apostate and should be shunned. However, this is not the case, so the Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong again, but then they are only following the teachings of the "Almighty Watchtower".
