How can a self employed person qualify for a mortgage loan?

income is not high on the tax returns


I do not want a co-signer.

    When I was self employed I applied for a loan to purchase a Condo. I had enough income but still had to get someone to co-sign in order to get the loan approved. Getting someone to co-sign for you might be the only way you can get a mortgage. The co-signer would need to have excellent credit.
