Aussies and Americans talk very differently?

We say "year 11" Whereas you would say "11th Grade" We have seesaws and you have teeter-totters. We also spell things differently, like Mum and Mom, colour and colour. Update 2: Hockeychic - Yeah, pissed means drunk. Australian's don't say washroom though, they say bathroom too.

Another example is "root". In America to root for a team is to support them while in Australia root is another word for sex.
