    I love that song too. Last Kiss is actually written by Frank J. Wilson and The Cavaliers. Now you are saying, "Who?" Exactly. My favorite song about death is called Cold, Cold, Ground. By Tom Waits. His haunting voice makes it a perfect song for funerals. It'll be played at mine for sure.

    it is ironic. People commonly assume that Fade to black by metallica is about death. It is about loss not death. They lost all their equipment and that is the song Hetfield wrote. To have everything and then suddenly nothing.
