Could China invade the US if......?

Could China invade the US if strategic nuclear charges were set along the San Andes Fault and Yellowstone National Park? Would the large waves produced by that hunk of California sliding off be enough to wipe out most US Pacific presence? Would be subsequent destruction be enough to prolong our ability to retaliate enough that an opposing force could land a strong enough presence to dominate? Would the human capital lost take out America's willingness to fight?

This plan would require the development of several large underwater troop transport systems that could be anchored on the lee side of the explosion some place on the pacific sea floor. I don't think that's a huge feat.

Update:

1) There is already at least one hole that deep in the fault line.

2) Chinese 'Scientists' studying seismic activity could easily plant bombs without raising too many eyebrows.

China would have to develop an effective "blue water Navy" first and foremost. They don't have the expeditionary means of warfare to travel to any offshore country thousands of miles away and invade. That is why they are trying to develop a "blue water Navy" now...but it won't be up to speed for another 30-to-50 years...it has taken the U.S. Marine Corps about 50-to-70 years to perfect expeditionary warfare.

a million. India won't touch China, and conversely China isn't touch India. North Korea would not care approximately something. Afghanistan and Pakistan are on the sting and not likely the terrorists talk chinese language . 2. this would possibly not stop for a at an identical time as, so that is a situation they could have for a protracted long term. 3. jap won't touch them now 4. Disagree with the educational standards, they have a extensive variety of smart people (no longer unavoidably stable in terms of share to inhabitants, yet that would not count anyhow) 5. ok.... that is a paying for and merchandising companion already. US does have some subject concerns that could desire to be worked on the subject of human rights and you're splendid, the US can't be a rolemodel for human rights. China isn't a probability to the US. that is in basic terms the splendid-wing extremists who evaluate it a probability that are going around scaring people.

No besides the fact the fault runs on land and they would have to do it from here they would have to drill down in to the crust to accomplish this surface charges would not do the job and that would raise big questions at to why are you drilling so many holes along the fault line.

Why are you so afraid of something that will never happen? This looks like a very good script for a science fiction picture. Don't 'worry anymore.

It would take a million years for California to slide anyplace, so the wave will be very small indeed.

We owe China too much money. If they did all of that their own economy would be destroyed.

LOL YOUR TALKING ABOUT A TERRORIST ATTACK NOT AN INVASION.

China could invade US by planes if they wanted to! No need to set up nuclear charges! LOL
