I have spent many years studying the science behind Mormonism. Have you? I find it to be the most scientific of all religions. Sometimes things that are true are just hard to believe. I know it doesn't seem like it, but the earth really is round. And the Book of Mormon really is one of a kind. No other book in history shares a similar provenance. Delivered by an angel, translated by the power of God in front of witnesses, the Book of Mormon is truly remarkable. Archaelogy substantially supports the assertions of the Book of Mormon. There were great cities in Central America. They held millions of people. There were massive wars where societies were completely destroyed in the space of a few years. They practiced cannabalism and human sacrifice. They were expert at using cement circa 100 AD, and could build highways and buildings out of it. They were expert in making fine linen, and weapons of all kinds. They had an abundance of Gold, Silver, and Copper, just as the Book of Mormon suggests, and they were expert in the workmanship thereof. There was a severe cataclysm around the time of Christ, and at least one city was sunk into the ocean. They had a fully developed written language; in fact they had at least six fully developed written languages. Characters similar to those copied from the Book of Mormon have been found on at least three separate items pulled out of archaeological digs. Researchers have mapped the entire journey of Lehi through southern Arabia and have found the locations mentioned in the Book of Mormon. In one place they found a Book of Mormon place-name etched into several pillars at the ancient site - exactly where the Book of Mormon described it.
If you insist on believing that the world is flat and godless, go right ahead. But don't pretend there is any science behind it. Science is clearly corroborating the Book of Mormon, and does so more each day.
