Best place for a wind chime........?

Question

I want to put up a wind chime on the front of my house. But the place I have selected is near the motion detector alarm. Will the noise and movement set it off when the wind blows?

My thoughts exactly.......it will be stolen if upfront. If the chimes are small, 12 inches or so, no they won't set off the motion detector, but if you are looking at those huge chimes......still probably not unless they get hit by hurricane force winds......but the jerks stealing the chimes will certainly set off the detector.

Depends on the sensitive settings of the motion detector. Generally they are set for a large moving body. Try it out first.. It could be stolen if too close to street.
