Higher or Lower Negative Numbers?

I have a project and i was wondering if you had -29 would it be a higher negative number or a lower and say i had -2 if its higher or lower

    -29 is a lower number then -2.

    Think of it this way. numbers can be arranged as such:

    ......-10 -9 -8 -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 +3 +4 +5 +6 +7 +8 +9 +10..... (and so on)

    the numbers INCREASES IN VALUE AS YOU PROGRESS TO THE RIGHT such that

    -9 is higher than -10

    -2 is higher than -19

    +4 is higher than -1

    +10 is lower than +45

    -29 is lower than -2

    -2 is bigger than -29 because on a number line, -2 is closer to 0.

    -2 is more than -9 ... because in negative number as the number gets bigger its value gets smaller
