What is the best way to celebrate Mother’s Day.............?

M" is for the million things she gave me,

"O" means only that she's growing old,

"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,

"H" is for her heart of purest gold,

"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,

"R" means right, and right she'll always be.

Update:

This day may not be valuable to all who live with their mothers but people like me eagerly wait for this day because i am not living with my mother and only on this day my mother accepts gift from me.

    aweee very cute poem!!

here's my poem i recited for my mommy:

    A mother's love,

    Is always true.

    It's all you need,

    To get you through.

    A mother's love,

    Can seem like hate.

    She's only tough,

    To keep you safe.

    A mother's love,

    Is always there.

    In simple ways,

    She'll show she cares.

    A mother's love,

    Can never compare.

    With anyone else's

    Anywhere.

    A mother's love,

    Is here to stay.

    I love you, mom.

    Happy Mother's Day!

It's sad to think how many Vietnam Vets passed away before they built the memorial, thinking that because it was never declared a real war, that somehow they were outcasts. To me you don't have to fight in a labeled conflict to be a hero. My friends brother dove on a grenade over there when I was in high school, and saved four buddies. We honored him at halftime at a football game and I never forgot it. Excellent heartfelt write Gemini, many of us know they, and the rest of the vets will never be forgotten.-----How does one celebrate--- by remembering and praying for them.--------Thanks For That-------william

Forget it's Mother's Day, that way you don't feel left out while other people are going out to eat and having a good time with their mothers, while yours is locked up in a rehab center somewhere in the mountains.

Everyday is Mother's day for me.

I do not need Archie's or Hallmark to remind me with their cards that its mother's day and I need to remember my mom.

Every morning I thank God that I have my mom for me.

In every success I remember that my mom taught me the first lesson of Alphabet and Maths even when she did never gone to school (so called illiterate).

In the world only mother's love is selfless.

Even if I hurt my mother she first ask me whether I am hurt or not!

I never need a poem to describe my mother.

She is always with me to support me and guide me.

My mother is god for me.

Dear Banjaran, even I do not live with my mother. She is too reluctant to leave our home built by my father (he is no more). I got to see her once or twice in a month. If I am lucky she will come and sepend a week with me sometime. Even I am not with her physically, she is always with me - in my mind.

  • friend,

    Please answer me frankly .

In our Dharma, In India that is Bharath, IS THERE SUCH A THING LIKE ''MOTHER`S DAY ''IN THE PAST?

    NO.

We call it ''TAT DINAM '' ( Which we do after the person passes away)

In Our Culture we are used to live with parents and children, brothers and sisters ..all together.

We used to take blessings of Mother every day.So every day we spend much time with mother.Similarly with father and other members.

So in our Culture we do not go and see mother once ina year.

Similarly we do not have a ''FATHER`S DAY'' etc things.

They are not Hindu or Indian Culture at all.

Let those whose culture has it follow.

But we , Indians o, Hindus , Should not imitate those things blindly.

Our Culture and Dharma is ours.

    That is how I feel.

I was so fortunate that My mother was with me till she passed away peacefully at the age of 82 Years .We had the fortune of her blessings every day.I MISS HER A LOT.

    ( Thanks for the questions)

  • Well..To be honest I have a scant regard for this day because I don't really believe in these kind of days proposed by The Western people. But that doesn't mean I don't love my mom.She is one of the best moms in the world. This time I'm gonna make her chocolate pudding because she really likes the chocolate pudding prepared by me :D So I'm gonna make her that today. That's all!

Happy Mothers day to you and all the Mothers across the Globe :)

    Cheers! =D

    ~Smile :)
