They are afraid to live, in Christ. They are already dead in the Watchtower.
Most become Jehovah's Witnesses because of the fear of the end that the WT pushes down their throats.
The "Organization" promises them "protection and security" in the face of death, while everyone around them dies.
This is a mainstay of their beliefs. They see themselves as cleaning up the dead bodies of everyone but themselves...they will not die, but live into the "new system".
These beliefs are driven by a morbid fear of death, because they do not understand that all who believe in Jesus Christ, even though they die, will live.
Their fear of death also motivates them to perform more works to gain their salvation...even when they die here, they must work for another 1000 years as teachers during the 1000 years, before they are finally "saved" by Jesus' blood.
This is very sad.
They learn that they might not taste death at all if they become a JW. This is what millions of people also believed, as taught by Joseph F. Rutherford, their founder..."Millions now living, will never die".
They still believe this.
They are motivated by the promise of living forever on the earth, and possibly without ever tasting death...because they have fear....
But "perfect Love, casts out all fear"
They need Perfect Love, in Jesus Christ alone.
