Why won't ti89 factor this expression?
My ti89 factors all other expressions, yet will not return an answer for the following equation:
2(3x^2+26x+60)
Any suggestions?

is it a typo?
3(2x^2+26x+60) is factorable, but I don't see the factors for the one you wrote, check for transcription error!?

We can forget the number 2 in the start. It don't matter.
The roots are 26/6+-sqrt(26^2 /6^2 - 60)
The answer is imaginary

I have no clue why, but why don't you just multiply the Quadratic by two? And then use your calculator to factor it.
