If i dyed my black hair a light colour, would it not come out properly?

I have black hair and I am considering dyeing it a light colour. Would it come out darker?

Im sorry to say that it wont come out. I tried to do it once and I have black hair as well and in the end i just resulted in bleaching it. The colour wouldn't be as good if you didn't bleach it and it might not even come out at all, so it'll look better in general if you do.

Your hair would come out red or orange have it done professionally to limit the damage.

Well, this is rather dangerous for your hair, but you would have to bleach it first, then dye it.
