you are very misinformed. first, slavery in many forms has been in existence throughout all of history and in all parts of the world. yes, even here in north America, long before anyone else was here, there were tribes which conquered and enslaved other tribes. it was done in china, Hawaii long before 'the white man' ever knew it existed, etc., and it has been an arab 'institution' forever, and maybe now so more than ever in history. as for the American slave trade, that came about, fundamentally, from the fact that slave traders in all parts of the world already existed. the 'African source' of our slave history arose through European slavers, and just like anywhere else, it came from them dealing with victorious African tribes who 'sold' those they conquered for various 'riches' like beads and cloth, etc. yes, our black slaves came from them being conquered by other blacks in Africa. and by the way, the only 'civilized' slavery I know about came in the days of the jewish old testament, during which time it was common for people to voluntarily 'enslave' themselves to others for security and good treatment. typically, these 'slaves' became part of the family in many ways, becoming teachers to children of the household and performing other tasks which most of us these days would consider to be good jobs. they also, of course, swore allegiance to such families that would make them part of the overall security of those families, thus often requiring them to fight alongside their 'owners' when the need arose. people today know literally nothing about 'slavery' as a whole, and i'm certainly not in any way defending it. but it is important to know what you're talking about, no matter the issue, because not knowing, being misinformed or simply ignorant, is a recipe for being enslaved ourselves.
