    No, it won't. That's just i7 fanboi bullshit.

    The GTX 980 will likely be the bottleneck in your system, but if it is, that is a *GOOD* thing. That means that everything else is running well enough to keep the most important and hardest working piece of your computer fed and happy.

    The i5 feeds the GPU, not the other way around. So, answered at face value, no, because that question doesn't make sense. It would be like asking if a pool can overflow the rain.
