Is it okay to use plastic or artificial plants purchased from the pet store for my aquarium?

Update:

I have a 12 gallon tank with 2 goldfish. I clean the tank once a week, have filtration.

Update 2:

My concern is any chemicals from the plastic could harm my fish. Thanks

The plants in the aquarium section of the pet store are aquarium safe and will not harm your Goldfish, so they are safe to use.

Yes it's ok, they can't harm your fish. But remember choose a good one not sharp.

When you say hurt do you mean damage the fins or the chemicals from the plastic?
