Is there a way to create another storage device on your Xbox 360 without creating an Xbox gold account?

You don't need Gold for storage. Just take any USB 2.0 device from 1 GB to 2 TB and plug it into the Xbox 360.
Gold only matters for cloud storage.

You don't need Gold for storage, except if it's online (Cloud).

Get an external hard drive and plug it in. Although, I don't know if it works for 360. I know it does for xbox one though.
