Stop making excuses, your vet is not the only vet available, emergency vets are available 24/7, 365 days, weekends and holidays. Call your vet, there will either be an answering service and/or a recording advising you on who to contact in an emergency.
When it comes to the eyes it Is considered an Emergency, failure to provide immediate care as need in a timely fashion may result taking longer to cure, more cost, blindness and/or loss of one or both eyes, besides being charged with committing a felony for failing to provide said vet care, which is punishable by fines/jail time adding to the cost.
No one, including a vet, can examine the dog on line or render a diagnosis sight unseen, we could only guess, guesses are often wrong, that's why their called guesses.
