Well, there is proof of a massive flood. Now consider the story of Noah originated some 6000 years ago, translated by clergy, with little knowledge of the forgoten Hebrew language the scrolls are written in. Since then, this has been retranslaed numerous times so the bible version of this is just loaded with flaws, one is grave errors in event timelines.
Since mans existence on earth, the only one extreme flood was nothing the bible claims, Unknown how much rainfall or how long any rain happened, but enough to cause erosion's, rivers, valleys, even todays dry lakes, yet not enough to cause life ending extinction. Scores of animals including humans survived this on various continents.
"A flood" did happen, for that there is lots of geological "proof" In Noah's day,is speculative at best.
These ancient scrolls still exist, locked away in a vault. Degreed linguist have access, but still the ancient Hebrew has yet to be properly translated. In the day, there were barely over 6000 words in spoken vocabulary, putting it to modern language, would be a painstaking task.
Too many scientific journals.
