Do you set your text notification to a ringtone, vibrate, or silent mode when your phone is in your hands?

NO. I don't change the setting when the phone in in my hand.

Well most, if not all phones, are aware that the phone is in your hand when you get a text. I have mine set based on the condition at the time. If the phone needs to be silent then that's how its set, otherwise it'll alarm.

Just the ringtone. And if im busy i set it to airplane mode
