Has an Autistic person ever won an Oscar?

Diagnosed with Autism or Aspergers?

    Probably.

    Don't forget, it's only been within the past few decades that we had a name for these conditions, however, that doesn't mean that people in the past didn't have them.

    So if you ever read a biography about someone who was described as "a bit eccentric" there's a good chance that today, that person would be considered "on the spectrum but highly functional."

    Woody Allen is said to be on the autism spectrum and he's won three oscars. Dan Aykroyd is also said to be on it and has been nominated. Anthony Hopkins has been diagnosed with high-functioning Asperger’s Syndrome and he's won an oscar.

    Probably, there's a large degree of undiagnosed sufferers,and a large spectrum it covers.
