I'm trying to delete pictures from my mac but its saying it will delete from all devices. I want to delete only from my computer not phone?

Stop sync option from Mac computer to other devices and delete images from the computer to prevent it from deleting from other devices

Unfortunately that's essentially what you get by following Apple, it is a long running nerd diss for Macs since the 1980s; it's either Apple way or the Highway; they determined such action for you and options isn't in their vocabulary.

If a photo is anywhere in iCloud it's in all your synced devices, and if you delete, it's deleted from all. The theory is, that you have access to your important stuff wherever you are. Or that the phone is an extension of the computer.

A couple of choices: turn off the computer's photo syncing to iCloud, or adopt another photo library like Google Photos to save your pictures to.

Save pictures not on account but on hard drive.Usually on computer is folder, called Pictures.If you delete pictures from this folder nothing will be deleted from your devices
