Fill the bowl halfway and keep filling the bowl when it gets low on food.

Keep the bird dish full. Offer fresh spinach about every 3 days, grated steamed carrots, steamed green beans, fine grit for an aid for digestion, spray millet, fresh water every day, and a vitamin supplement like Petamine.

As much as their small food bowl/holder will allow, they are animals which need access to food at all times unlink dogs where you feed them at specific times. Unless there is a medical reason, then as much food is fine.

Fill his dishlet him fee range. Let the birds eat all they want unless the vet says to cut back.. very rare but a few can be overweight from lack of exerceise. Larger birds need to be let out if their cage and walk around and use their wings, not necessarily fly but room to flap.
