when someone says there's no comparison, is it negative or positive?

If you say there is no comparison between one thing and another, you mean that you think the first thing is much better than the second. So it's generally positive.
For example, if you say there is no comparison between Bob's skills and the rest of his co-workers, you mean that Bob is much better than the rest.

It can be either depending on what you are talking about and what your position is. ----- Ex. If someone says there is no comparison between the height of a person and their eye color, And you think that there is a correlation, then the statement is negative to you. If someone else has said that there is no correlation then the statement is positive fir that person.
