Would Republicans be wise to make Bill Weld their 2020 candidate?

He's a solid fiscal conservative (unlike Trump).

He doesn't bow to the Religious-right.

And, he could appeal to many undecided voters who don't want a far-left socialist to be elected President.

    Yes.

Donald Trump is a terrible human. Replacing him with ANYONE would be a very smart choice. I don't understand why Republicans want to elect him again when there are many Republicans that are normal human beings.

No. He is a nobody. President Trump is doing a good job. The party will not try to dump him.

No point in even considering a candidate, the Republicans are a dying breed. Reality is the youth of America are starting to turn towards science and facts rather than old traditions and blind religion. No matter what candidate the Republicans elect, they are more than likely going to lose to the left.

Republicans would be wise to dump Trump and to distantiate themselves as far as possible from the offensive orange idiot.

    ASAP

He's got a few good ideas. But he's a full blown Libertarian. And they can act a little nutty at times. I'll pass.

    • But televangelists celebrating death aren't nutty?

I'll take a pass at that.

I would contend he hasn't deserved much attention...if he is anti Trump I am sure you will carry him on your shoulders...Seriously did you see him on CNN?...there is your problem...

    Because Republicans don't like moderates.

The majority of their base wants crazies and or religious zealots.

So, very 'presidential', but no substance. I don't think so.
