In the Stars Wars Episode IX trailer Luke says “Nobody is ever really gone”, but that doesn’t apply to Rian Johnson right?

I mean he’s gone for good right?

    Yes. Disney learned their lesson. They'll stop trying to take Star Wars into new and interesting directions and will just keep recycling old story lines and characters.

    No he's not gone. He's working on a new trilogy set in the Star Wars universe. Although after the disappointing performance of Solo they might be scaling back the ambitions of that
