Is it normal to have lost three strands of head hair whilst washing?

    3 strands is nothing I lose probably 50 each time but I have very thick hair

    Yeah it's normal. Most people lose around 100 a day but new ones grow in their place.

    Yes, statistically you lose around 50 hairs per day so losing hairs whilst washing is normal

    No, that's unusual. Most people lose way more than that.

    I lose 100 hairs every wash but that is because I rarely brush it. You should see my hoover. I just pulled out a cat worth of hair out of the schlong lol

      Not at all. Alopecia areata is characterised by coin sized patches of baldness. Alopecia comes in many forms - not all complete hair loss.
