How trashy would the world be if recycling never was invented?

    not as trash covered as it is now, before recycling became fashionable, most common things were biodegradable, the main things that weren't were glass, foam products and some fabrics. now that plastics are used, almost nothing is biodegradable, so there is a lot more trash to look at.

    tell that to asia ,they dont even have water treatment plants.

    Depends on what's being thrown out. In the old days, almost everything was biodegradable. You could throw something out without much worry. Now with synthetics, things should be recycled.

    Some things would be worse, and others not so much.

    34.3% of American waste is recycled, so you could say it would be 34% worse

    It wouldn't be doubled or tripled or anything.
