    I use Firefox so I don't know how this would work with Edge or Chrome or whatever other browsers.

    But in Firefox you can install Adblock Plus. Go to the 'Add Ons' page and look for it and install it. It doesn't cut out ALL ads but most of them.

    Now the problem is that a lot of websites can tell you're using an ad-blocker, so you get a popup window reminding you that the site is paid for by ads and would you please exempt this site from ad-blocking (which you can do for individual sites). There are a few websites that won't let you use them with an adblocker.
