brits lost 300k guys god blessem,,,they were effective, better tanks came after the war,in africa during the monty's fighting rommel, tanks called honeys arrived from the US,whose tracks did not shred in hard turn abouts as did others the brits had in some numbers prior tot he war.

the brit MI6,it was infiltrated by soviet agent kin philby during the war,his purpose was to weaken UKs position as an american ally, traiterous bastard

philby was,an american guy in foreign service suspected him,,could not get ears from brit pols, they could bot believe they were penetrated by soviet moles wiki info---------->Jul 7, 2014 - Maclean, Burgess, Philby and Blunt were British members of a KGB spy ring that ... to the Soviets during World War Two and the early stages of the Cold War. ... after he left university, but on the outbreak of war joined MI6.

whatever the better equipment brits had,was negated in the cost in lives to UK & officers out in the field

UK army: immediately after WW2, in the mid-1960s and from the Falklands War to the late 1980s

    Secret Service: 1970s and 1980s

Altogether both army and secret service were at their best between 1980 to 1991 and worst during 1970 and 2000.

Since then the British army was at its best around 2010, but since the Cameron government was virtually cut down across the board.

The British Secret Service, in the years after WW2, was being run by the Soviet Secret Service.

    remember?

A 'TD' from some cretin. No explanation or argument. Are you one of those who believe the theory that Kim Philby was in fact a 'triple agent' and that his defection was the ultimate 'cunning plan'?
