What's to be done with birds that your cat brings home who are too badly injured and are obviously not going to be able to be rehabilitated?

Never happens to me. Unlike you I'm not a selfish ***** that lets their cat free roam and slaughter wildlife. I care too much about them to endanger their lives outside. Why don't you?

Well, "Glenda, I'm not wearing an underwear," interesting question.

I always put the bird in a safe place and call Animal Control. My cat wears a bell on an elastic collar so it doesn't mangle birds.

Just let the cat finish it off and eat it - OR - wring it's neck and flush it.
