Is pre marriage training necessary before a church wedding?

    Depends on the church in question. Certain faiths require more ceremony than others.

    It SHOULD be.

    50% of all marriages end in divorce

    12.5% last, but turn out to be miserable

    25% last, but turn out to be emotionally dead

    12.5% last, and after 15-20 years together, they finally figure out HOW to get along and be happy with each other.

    The honeymoon phase you are in is not based on reality and isn't going to last. You should WELCOME pre-marriage training.

    Love is only 11% of what makes a marriage work, and not every couple who loves each other SHOULD get married. And when they do . then they had better have some idea of HOW to make it work.
