Why is there no water supply way in Nepal?

    The country is landlocked

    Probably the same as when I lived in the mountains in New Mexico. The water table is down in the bedrock. Then you put a mountain on top of it and it means that drilling wells is 2000 feet deep, and more. They were charging $100/foot at the time, so it's a lot of money. And if they don't hit water you pay them and then do it again.
