Sociology question?

Is the McDonaldization of society—whether it appears in restaurants, dental clinics or newspapers—always harmful? Does it also have positive effects?

    Cheap stuff is good when taken in moderation. Yes, American society has been watered down with cheap, plastic cars and everything else. In a sense, it's good to spread the wealth but spreading requires cheapening the quality of the products.

    Workers having uncertain jobs that consist of a few simple actions over and over, while giving millions of dollars to people who don't even work for it....

    What good could come from that?
