How do corporations today recreate the slave trade in their pursuit of prophets
LOL - they don't. This type of corporation would create losses. Any corporation that recreates the slave trade isn't going to profit. Their disgruntled employees (slaves) will turn out crap products & leave. People don't buy crap products.
Any corporation with this business model isn't going to last too long.

Under capitalism, production takes place to make a profit. Workers are laid off if what they produce cannot be sold at a profit. But it's not really related to the greed of the capitalists, more to the way the whole system works.
