Can I have shredded cheese if I have TMJ pain?

    As the threshold for what causes pain is different for each patient, no one can predict of trying to eat shredded cheese would cause you pain. As soft as it is - especially if you go with the very fine grate - you should be able to eat it without a minimum of pressure on our jaw and chewing. So most likely you would be able to eat shredded cheese. But you will have try to try some and see what it does to you.

    Shredded cheese is quite soft so yes.

Other dental conditions, such as a toothache or sinus problems, can cause similar symptoms. Behavioral, psychological and physical factors may also combine to cause TMJ.
