What are the chances of inheriting any gene from one great grandparent (12.5 percent)?

Sorry! I meant phenotype

Update 2:

Or just genotype. They are the same I guess

    no you don't mean fenotype

hard to tell. You have 23 chromosomes (in different sizes) from either parent, so ABOUT 11.5 from any grandparent (11 from one and 12 from the other, or 10 from one and 13 from the other, or 9 from one and 14 from the other). There's no such thing as "12.5 %"

Another thing to keep in mind that the DNA's of any two humans are at least 99.4 % identical anyway
