Can I join the US army if I was born in Mexico but grew up in the US?

    Currently you have to be either a citizen or green card holder to join. If you are either one, you can apply to join.

    It depends on what visa you have, not on where you were born or grew up.

    You must be US citizen or legal permanent resident. Officers, any branch: US citizens only. Marines: US citizens only. Other branches accept legal permanent residents for enlisted ranks.

    IF you are a Dreamer/illegal then no. You must be a green card holder or citizen

    If you came here legally, you should have no problem. If you are another criminal migrant, you need to go back top Mexico and serve in that army.

    Don't know, but one of my coworkers is a DACA recipient and he's a software developer. Went through college for Computer Science and everything. Not sure how he did that since he can't receive funding for college, but there he was.
