What do conservatives have against the humble soybean?

Soy is a staple crop for thousands of farmers in America's heartland. They're found in many household food products, and some companies even use soy as a biofuel.

Yet conservatives often mock and belittle this vegetable, using slurs such as "soy boy."

Where does this hatred of the soybean come from?

Because, conservatives don’t work. That’s why we need so many immigrants. Conservatives refuse to work, and jobs must get done, and liberals already have good jobs, so we must send those that actually want jobs to provide for their families.

Imagine if liberals stopped working. We wouldn’t even get food because there would be no FedEx to deliver our Walmart orders. Not just FedEx, it’s every company. Conservatives jobs are working at bars, and selling drugs

I think you are mistaken. They love soybeans, as long as they are not organic, they are sprayed with lots and lots of roundup, and they are produced with the help of Bayer-Monsanto's very fine GMO department

They are fearful of the phytoestrogens found in soy. There is much debate on the effects of phytoestrogens in the human body as disruptors of the balance of natural hormones. Personally, I tend to agree that the benefits of soy do not outweigh these concerns.
