Was the first person in space a blue eyed Slavic male?

No. Those eyes glazed white with ice after on-board power was lost and the Slav
joined a series of failures to survive orbit attainment. There is a recording made
by a female who's return allowed heat and flame to enter her seating area. That
also was denied by the USSR as a failure to orbit this planet.

Yuri Gagarin was Soviet, born not far from the Slavic region of Russia.

There is debate over who was in space first and exactly where space starts. For example the US X-15 flew so high that the control surfaces on the wings did nothing. The craft needed to use attitude thrusters to maintain control because there was, well... no air up that high. I don't know what color the pilots eyes were but they did what they did before Soviet cosmonauts took their ride.
