    50oN, 170oW , and 50oS 170oW are both in the Pacific Ocean.

    50oN 170oW is in the northern hemisphere.

      A quick look at a world map would tell you - look at Googlemaps if you have not got an atlas at home or at school.

    50 Degrees North by 170 Degrees West is in the Pacific ocean. 50 Degrees South 170 Degrees West is also in the Pacific Ocean. As for which Hemisphere, you already answered your own question. N means NORTH.

    50N is 5 degrees north of 45 degrees, which is halfway to the North Pole, or about the latitude of London. 170 W is 10 shy of the International Date Line, which is way out in the Northern Pacific.
