Why would we care about something as unimportant as our "bloodline"?

My sister died as a child.  My brother and both had vasectomies.  Our "bloodline" is done.  My wife is good with it.

It's our choice. The planet is already overpopulated. Why would we care about our family name, we aren't nobles in the dark ages.

Times are different now and continuing a family blood line or carrying on a family name doesn't have the same value that it once did.

It will happen with my son, 49 yrs old.. He is the only son of an only son, a widower who never had children. He is a great guy but has mild Autism, he would not have handled the difficulty children can be at time. He devotes his love to his two little dachshunds he shared with his late wife.

Yes, but it doesn't concern me. So what - my bloodline was nothing to boast about.

Yes, but it is a personal decision not to have kids. Not a big deal as long as no one is killed.
