If there was mass build up of weapon of mass destruction on the dark side of the moon or else where in the solar system would we even know?

Well, generally, you'd want the WMDs where you could get to them - y'know.... just in case. And, we have Lunar Orbiters that would likely find them -so, they're probably not on the far side of the moon.

Probably not on the dark side, either.

Elsewhere in the solar system is problematic also... It would cost *billions* getting them up there, then... when you need them, they're months or years away, which doesn't make much sense... And, we'd detect the rocket launches placing them up there in the first place, so... yeah, we'd know.

The,Moon gas NO DARK SIDE. The Farside is under surveillance by the orbiting LRO satellite for 20 years and 2 other satellites. Yes, we WOULD know.

You lie !! The Far Side is really funny cartoon, and no one is surveilling it. And the moon does have a dark side. Pink Floyd says so.

The US knows about every missile launch from any country. It is not possible to launch a missile large enough to carry a payload to the moon in secret.

What would a country do with a bunch of WMD on the moon? Without people to maintain them and get them ready to launch, they would be useless.

There are several satellites orbiting the moon taking photos - of BOTH the near and far sides. It would not be possible to hide a large cache of anything.

    No,

just like we would not know if there was a vast herd of pink unicorns on the dark side of the moon or else where in the solar system.

The Moon doesn't have a dark side. It had a far side, but that isn't any more dark than the near side. And of course we would be aware of any rocket launches that take things off the Earth.

Why build a weapon on an LP ??

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Side_of_the...

The actual Moon (that orbits Earth) does not have a dark side. The _far_ side experiences days and nights just the same as the near side - and the whole lot has been thoroughly photographed.

There have been at least four photographic / mapping satellites put in to lunar orbit, though I don't know which are still active.

    eg. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Reconnaissance...

    In general:

For anyone to build anything on another planet, they would have to launch rockets from Earth - and every launch of anything significant in size it is tracked internationally, in case it's a weapon launch such an ICBM.

Manned or supply rocket launches are rather larger and simply could not be concealed.
