    Without doubt ... atheism.

Adam's relationship with God. It largely coincided with the later religions of Judaism and Christianity. In fact, Adam knew his savior. Adam was in the Garden of Eden a very, very long time, long before there were human beings or related species outside of the Garden of Eden.

He worshiped God (Elohim) and his son, Jesus Christ (Jehovah).

Not sure what the first religion was (not my area of study), but the first person to believe without evidence likely prescribed agency to describe parts of nature she did not understand. It doesn't take much to rally that way of thinking into a mechanism of control and intimidation. This tendency would provide a survival advantage to social animals that depend on cooperation and rules to flourish. We are the descendants of such social animals.

Various forms of paganism of course. They worshipped the forces of nature, and imaginary "gods" of their own design.

  • Matthew 16: 17-18.

Jesus replied and said: "You are blessed, Simon, son of Jonah, because not the flesh and blood have revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this stone I will build my church, and the gates of the Ades cannot overcome it.

When Jesus speaks to the apostle Peter of the church, he meant that Peter was built on the whole word of God, therefore, it is the word of God that makes a true church. If believers listen to, and put into practice all the teachings of Jesus Christ, they are on the true Church!

Not easy to know because religions predate writing (8000 years ago).

However, cave paintings (40 to 20,000 years ago) look very much like modern days shamanism/animism rituals. So their deities were probably similar: a shamanic world of spirits / wise ancestors or a pantheon of forces of nature.

Ancient polytheisms are certainly directly inherited from those practices.

Monotheisms are a more recent evolution of polytheism but adapted to hierarchically structured societies.

    Mortuary practices.

Also difficult to tell the part of the spirituality of intentional paleolithic burial. Difficult to draw the line between hygiene and religion, also because interpretation is can be biased by the archeologist personal background:

Why did they bury this man?

    European: because corpses smell!

American: because they believed in afterlife!.

Grave goods are not always a clue: his weapons can be either a form of respect to the deceased hunter or a way to hunt in his afterlife. The boundary is thin!

100,000 years ago in Qafzeh - Israel is often mentioned as the earliest undisputed human burial

Note that Neanderthals (another species of humans now extinct) already practiced a kind of totemism based on cave bear cult.

The Tower of Babylon was the first religion that sought to replace revelation with man's own name and organisation.

There’s no way to know. There were no doubt religions before recorded history.

Jesus is God. Jesus is not a "religion". All "religions of the world" are lies that lead to hell.

    .

Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed in Jesus for eternal life, or not.

    .

The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death

We don't know. It was probably before writing.
