Help!! is this sentence correct? How can I use commas correctly?

    I prefer it like this, for a more powerful statement: Although she escaped, her life was changed forever. She would never be the same again.

    Although she escaped, her life was hanged forever, because she would never be the same again. "although she escaped is separated by a comma, because it is a dependent clause (it has a subject and verb which makes it a clause, but it can't stand alone because it doesn't make a complete thought., so it is dependent). The comma after forever is because of two independent clauses joined by a conjunction. Her life changed forever (independent clause)- because (conjunction)- she would never be the same again (independent clause).
