People on the site, for the most part, are unqualified to answer any questions about laws anywhere. Some few have some knowledge of specific areas of law, others will do research and try to find answers for someone who asks, but many others will post anything for their 2 pts.

A better question would be why would anyone who needed legitimate information on any law for any state or country, ask about it in a free forum online where the respondents are strangers whose credentials cannot be known?

Seriously? Are you truly asking this question? Okay...I'll bite. The community is comprised of a diverse group. Not all of which are educated regarding California law. In fact, most are not so educated. This question almost doesn't deserve to be answered.

Because seeking legal advice is not what YA if for.

Most people here are not experts on law.
