    Neither. The first humans were probably the ancestors of most present-day American Indians. DNA retrieved from ancient (>12,000 BP) specimens indicate most Indigenous Americans are descended from a single group that made its way into the Americas towards the end of the last Ice Age.

    If you mean in recorded history, white people probably arrived a few centuries before than blacks. There were the Vikings in the X century and also Columbus in 1492. Slavery in the Americas started in the XVI - XVII centuries.

    Since the gene for loss of melanin in Europeans is shorter than the length of time Native Americans were here, Native Americans were obviously here before "white" man. Maybe Salutrians made it here from Europe but we don't know that and East Asian probably already beat them anyway IMO. Blacks as in Bantu are also too "new" a group to have been first to America. We have a group living on the southern tip of South America that may be related to Australian Aborigines.

    There is evidence for a Solutrean theory, meaning the first Americans were Europeans who arrived here before native Americans. Africans were imported to the New World as slaves, and Europeans were the slave masters. The slaves could not have been imported before the slave masters had settled, can they?

    The Chinese-Mongolians who crossed the land bridge into this continent. Then the (white) Vikings visited, and then Spanish explorers, and then English settlers. {Very possible a black man was at Jamestown.}

      I also believe Polynesians are the settlers of South America. Then as the Chinese-Mongolians worked their way down the coast and mixed with the Polynesians who came up the coast the tribes became more diverse with different (mixed) DNA.
