    I consider "Home Alone" to be a Christmas movie than I do "Die Hard". Can someone tell me when the basic premise of a Christmas movie went from Santa Clause, freezing cold temperatures and hoping that you get what you asked for for Christmas, to murder, cursing and theft.

      Totally agree about Die Hard. This ridiculous theory that clever people like Mark Kermode try to put forward that Die-Hard is really a Christmas movie, I don't know where they get that from. On that basis you might as well call Lethal Weapon a Christmas movie

    well the movie was made when it was Christmas and so yes it was a christmas movie

    Yes since it takes place over Christmas when his parents leave and go somewhere for Christmas and leave him at home. I think that’s the one your talking about.
