My TSH levels are 4.79.I use T4 but how to power the TSH levels?

    Have you had your vitamins tested, namely folate, fer, D and B12? these all help with the conversion. You may need to ask your DR about this and possibly look into either upping the T4 or adding some T3 into the mix.

    Either you are hypothyroid and are not taking enough T4 (Levothyroxine) or you are hypothyroid and taking any Levothyroxine will make your condition worse. You need to have your free T4 levels measured to determine which. Discuss with your doctor.

    The other poster that suggests T3 clearly has no idea what they are talking about. Cell conversion of T4 to T3 has nothing to do with TSH levels.
