Is it unusual for a grown man to believe in fairies all his life?

No. Sometimes, we accept a thing as true because it is something we want to be true.

Yes. Fairies are a bit childish, but some people's brains stop developing in childhood.

If that's what you actually believe and your not affecting other people with your beliefs than believe in fairies. I am not saying it's normal but this world is filled with abnormal things. Just because someone doesn't believe in the same things as you doesn't mean you are wrong. Unless someone proves you are wrong. I would say a little unusual but hey gotta believe in something. Right?

No not at all because I've got fairies at the bottom of my garden.

Sort of I suppose. Anything is possible and we all probably believe in something “weird”.

No; 84% of the world was religious as of last year, making it not at all unusual.
