Would you accept a request by Honduras to join the U.S. as the 51st State? Why or why not?

Wouldn't that partially resolve the immigration crisis?

It would be better to convince the six central American countries to form their own Federation.

    No

No country can become a state without being a territory first

Honduras would wind up being another money pit like Puerto Rico

We should accept Africa as the 51st state.

No. Because as a poor nation they would be an additional drain on our taxpayer money. Further, their culture is not our culture; so they would be out of sync with even the Latinos in America.

a thoughtful response. Also a good argument against third world immigration to the U.S.

Absolutely not. We can solve the illegal problem by enforcing current laws by not permitting them to stay when identified.

Why would we WANT a sh** hole like Honduras to join the US?

So the rest of the country can go bankrupt fixing it?
